For a while now I have been hearing about the Yeosu World Expo 2012. A few days ago I went to see what the fuss was about. My opinion? What they don’t tell you is it’s actually an expo of lines. “And here is the line for the USA pavilion. That is the line for the Samsung pavilion. This is the line for the Aquarium, the biggest and longest line of its kind! You’ll be waiting for days in this one!” To make things more interesting it is mostly outside and in the middle of Korean summer. Especially when it is sunny, waiting outside in a line for upwards of 30 min (some faaaar more than 30 min, more like 3 hours!) is not my idea of a good time. Maybe if there had been some makgeolli… Anyway, my suggestion to those of you going for the last weekend is screw the lines and check out the random street performers and walk through pavilions. They are just as interesting and how else can you get a picture of a bird man thing eating your head? Yeah that’s what I thought. You’re welcome.
Note: I was only there for a few hours, so I’m sure there is more to it than lines, that is just my impression. Other note, if you click on the pic it will send you to the Expo website if you want to learn more about it. Enjoy!
